At the end of every
academic year, the department gives out commendation
letters to the top 20% of the graduate tutors. They are
selected by the Departmental Teaching Excellence
Committee (DTEC) based on their teaching performance in
the department.
The commendation
letters serve the following purposes:

to recognize the
graduate tutors for their excellent and
conscientious teaching;

to show
appreciation for their contribution towards the
department;

to motivate other
graduate tutors to seek further improvement in their
teaching.
