SEP is a programme that NUS has established with reputable foreign universities,
allowing NUS students to study abroad for a semester.
Students in the programme
The courses that students have
read overseas could be used to credit towards their NUS degree (subject to
approval, of course). And the best thing of all - pay only the normal NUS
tuition fee for the semester you have spent overseas!

In addition, students must also
-
be registered as a full-time
undergraduate or graduate student at NUS, and
-
have successfully completed at
least one semester upon application, and two semesters upon admission to the
respective Partner University, but cannot be in the last semester of your final
year, and
-
have a minimum "B" average
grade in the current or intended discipline/major, and
-
not have ANY grades below "C",
and
-
have the financial means to pay
for your personal and living expenses for the duration of study abroad.

-
The duration of SEP at a Partner University is only
for ONE semester.
-
Students cannot apply to participate in SEP during
the semester in which their academic exercise is scheduled or during the
last semester of their degree.
-
SEP is subject to the Partner University's academic
year, calendar and provisions in the MOU.
-
NUS students selected to participate in SEP are
governed by the conditions of the respective Partner University and the MOU
.

Application materials are available at the Registrar's
Office and all Dean's Office from late October each year.
Online application is also available on the web of
International Relations Office. Detailed instructions are also available at the same web.
Application for study in semester 1 and 2 usually closes in mid-January of the
following year.
